Guided Creative Workshops
You and your group arrive at Drawing Room and step into a quiet, grounding space. Coffee and loose-leaf tea are available. The workshop runs 2.5 hours, led by a professional facilitator who guides everyone through hands-on making in your chosen medium: ceramics, printmaking, drawing, painting, bookbinding, or textiles. No prior experience necessary.
Each person makes something unique to them. Watching someone else figure out their own approach is unexpectedly moving, and the room ends up feeling closer than it started. Whether you're a friend group, a bachelorette party meeting future in-laws, a bridal shower, or two people on a third date, the workshop creates the kind of focused, hands-on time that's hard to find anywhere else.
Closes with a gallery walk. Everyone takes home what they made.

Why a workshop instead of a dinner?
Making is thinking. When you carve a block, throw a pot, or stitch a book, you're making decisions in real time, watching how they land, and adjusting. It's a different kind of attention than most of us spend our days in, and it's quietly satisfying in a way a passive activity isn't.
Making together is even better. When a group of people sit at the same table and work with their hands, the phones go down and conversations get real. Watching someone else figure out their own approach to the same prompt is unexpectedly moving, and the room ends up feeling closer than it started.
That's true whether you're a team, a group of friends, a bachelorette party meeting future in-laws for the first time, or a couple on a third date. Private workshops at Drawing Room are designed to create that specific kind of space.
By the way…
We are a socks and indoor slipper space. This helps keep our space clean (we have lots of beautiful rugs) and makes it super cozy (kick your feet up)! We do have shoe covers available for anyone who prefers to keep their shoes on, or socks for $1 if you forget them!
Participants must be 16+ to participate in workshops. No animals are allowed at workshops at this time.

Yes! Everything you need is fully supplied by Drawing Room. We set up the space before you arrive, and clean it all up for you after your session. You get the enjoy, and take your creation home!

No–we believe in making as thinking. Each participant creates something unique to themselves, not something predetermined. We are not following along, but rather creating from our own minds. But, don’t worry, our facilitators will guide you so you don’t get stuck!

No prior experience is required; all our workshops are beginner-friendly and our facilitators help you create something of your own.
We provide everything you need to create, you can just show up and prepare to try something new and have fun!
