About us

Create the life you want to live.

We believe in creative living—not just in what we make, but in how we move through the world. It’s a mindset, a way of noticing, a way of connecting. It’s choosing curiosity over routine, presence over perfection, play over pressure.

At Drawing Room, creativity isn’t reserved for artists. It’s for anyone drawn to a slower pace, a deeper conversation, a life made richer by attention and expression.

We’re grounded in creativity, learning, and connection. Whether you're picking up a pencil, a book, or a new idea—you belong here. Come as you are, stay a while, and rediscover the joy of living a little more creatively each day.

It started around a dinner table—with clay, conversation, and a desire to create something meaningful.

Angela, our founder, began by hosting casual gatherings in her NYC apartment: part art class, part dinner party, part creative escape. Then, open mics, mosaic workshops, and more…those early workshops sparked something real—a need for connection, for expression, for a creative life lived in good company.

Drawing Room has grown into a home for creative living.

We believe there's a quiet magic that happens when people gather with intention. Creativity flows more easily. Conversations deepen. Joy becomes tangible. That’s the kind of city we want to live in—and that’s what we’re building, one gathering at a time.

On the name, “Drawing Room”…

Yes, “drawing room” used to be another word for a living room—a place to withdraw to after dinner and settle into something slower, something more relaxed. Here, we gather to draw, of course—but also to reconnect, recharge, and reimagine how we live creatively.
