Drawing Room is a creative studio in NYC, available for private rental at our Midtown and Williamsburg locations. Bring your own program, your caterer, your playlist. Good for launches, photo shoots, showers, off-sites, intimate weddings, and any event that deserves a beautiful space.
Space Rental Options
Table Booking
Book a table for 2.5 hours during any of our public Open Hours, where others may be in the space with you. Fits up to 8 (Midtown) or 10 (Williamsburg) people. Option to add-on Art Library access for the entire group, or bring your own craft supplies.
Pricing
Up to 8 people in Midtown - $300+
Up to 10 people in Williamsburg - $350+
Members get 15% off.

Each table seats 8 (or 10 in Williamsburg). Bring your own supplies, food, bevs, etc (no fumes or glitter permitted).
Add-on access to our Art Library or ceramic mug-painting for your table for an extra fee.Please note we have very limited space and cannot accommodate bigger parties. If you arrive with more than 8 (in Midtown) or 10 (in Williamsburg) people, your group will be turned away without a refund.
Private Room Booking
Book our private room at our Williamsburg location for 3 hours during any of our public Open Hours. Others will be present in the main space, but this booking is for our private room separated by a door. Fits up to 16 people.

Restroom: In-unit restroom with complimentary feminine hygiene products.
Music: Customizable music and playlists – send us your own, or utilize one of our curated playlists.

Check out unlimited mediums from our Art Library – mix and match to your heart’ s content. Up to 10 points worth of surfaces (art paper, tea towels, stamp carving blocks) per person. Add-ons such as paint-a-dish and totes included for an additional fee on-site.
This is an unguided activity. We have an illustrated guide booklet on-site that is included, and our host can help answer questions but there are no demos, etc.

The Midtown the space fits 50 people max and Williamsburg fits 100 people max utilizing couch space, coffee tables, and tables/chairs.
All bookings require a $350 refundable security deposit.
Listed prices do not include tax and credit card processing fees. Members get 15% off.

Note: Outside food, drinks, and art/crafting supplies (like cake) are allowed. Disposable cutlery, plates, and cups available for a fee, otherwise please plan to bring your own. Glitter and fumes are prohibited.

Drawing Room is a purpose-built creative practice studio, which is to say it doesn't feel like a typical event space. Warm light, soft rugs, full walls of materials, and the kind of texture that makes a room feel cared for instead of rented out. Whether you're hosting a launch, a shower, an off-site, or a quiet birthday, the space itself does some of the work for you.

By the way…
We are a socks and indoor slipper space. This helps keep our space clean (we have lots of beautiful rugs) and makes it super cozy (kick your feet up)! We do have shoe covers available for anyone who prefers to keep their shoes on, or socks for $1 if you forget them!
Participants must be 16+ to participate in workshops. No animals are allowed at workshops at this time.

Yes. BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks. Alcohol is allowed at private events (wine, beer, champagne). We work with a vetted local caterer, please inquire for more information.
We offer disposable cutlery, plates, and cups for a fee, otherwise you are welcome to bring your own.

Depends on the space and setup. Our Midtown studio comfortably hosts up to 32 seated at tables or 40-50 in flexible seating, including floor cushions and couches
Williamsburg holds up to 40 seated at tables or 60-80 in flexible seating, including floor cushions and couches. Specific capacities and configurations are available on inquiry.

Rentals are booked in 3-hour minimum blocks and can extend to full days. Rates depend on time, day of the week, and whether you need setup and breakdown windows on either side.

Tables, chairs, WiFi, a Bluetooth sound system, kitchenette with sink and coffee/tea setup, and access to restrooms. We do a walkthrough with you before your event and are on call during it.

Yes, within reason. No confetti, glitter, or open flames. Removable adhesive only (nothing that leaves residue). Everything comes down at the end of the rental.

You handle setup within your rental window. We handle basic cleanup after: sweeping, resetting furniture, taking out trash. Any breakage or excessive mess is billed separately.

Both locations have elevator access. Restrooms and the main studio floor are wheelchair accessible. Let us know in advance if you have specific accommodations we should plan for.

Yes. If you want the space plus a hands-on workshop for part of your event, we can combine them. See our private workshops for facilitated formats, or ask when you inquire.
