Pen to Paper

At Drawing Room

A meditative and reflective writing workshop. Unblock your creativity and share with community.

Why Pen to Paper at Drawing Room?

  • A chance to meditate, reflect, and create

We often start with a meditation meant to seamlessly transition you from the outside world to your presence at Drawing Room. We'll move into several writing prompts and exercises using the space, partners, and journals. Finally, we’ll dive deep into writing, using our vulnerability, language, comedy, poetry, and storytelling. We will end the class with a chance to share and socialize to connect deeper with the members of our writing community.

This workshop is excellent for solo writers or a fantastic way to connect with partners and friends!

  • Professional instruction

Professional, beginner-friendly Instruction and facilitation by the wonderful Rachel Herron.

This is a beginner-friendly class with opportunities for feedback and deeper instruction.

  • Emphasis on connection

Pen to Paper is more than just a writing workshop. At Drawing Room we’re all about connection through creativity. These are great to come to solo or with friends; we all gather around shared tables to chat and have a great time.
