WIP (Work In Progress) is our weekday membership for people in the middle of making something, and most days that something is on a laptop. Freelance designers, illustrators, and writers work here from 10am: big shared tables, good light, wifi, unlimited tea and coffee, and a room that feels nothing like a coworking floor or your third cafe of the week.
Bring the client project, the portfolio update, the manuscript. Spread out, leave your shoes at the door, stay all day. And when the screen needs a break, the Art Library is ten steps away.

Open Hours
Enjoy unlimited access Tuesday–Sunday (Creative Flow Members) or Tuesday–Friday with discounted weekends (WIP Members). Just check in with the host and step into a space that feels like your own creative living room—welcoming, familiar, and always ready for your next spark of inspiration.
Open Hour Guest passes
2 All-Day Guest Passes per month (without Art or Clay Library access) are included in your membership. You’re also welcome to use your membership discount to add Art or Clay Library access for your guests or to bring additional guests beyond your included passes.
Flexibility & Support
After your three month minimum commitment, enjoy the freedom to pause, cancel, or restart your membership at any time. Manage your membership through your member portal, or email us at info@nycdrawingroom.com. And if you ever need help, our team is here to provide support every step of the way.

Unlimited tea, coffee & Wi-Fi.
Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and filtered water. Wi-Fi and co-working are always welcome—including phone or Zoom calls, as long as you're mindful of the shared space. Enjoy your own lunch with our communal fridge and microwave… or grab treats on-site with your member discount.
Books & Games Library
Browse, borrow, or play during Open Hours. Our community library is open to all and always welcoming book trades, donations, and curious minds. Enjoy a cozy selection of games, too!

Yes. Open hours run from 10am, Tuesday through Friday, at both studios.

Nope! We have open seating so you can swing by whenever you’d like. Weekdays are typically quiet enough that you won’t have any issues finding a seat. Bringing your team or want a whole table to yourself? You get member discounts on our table bookings!

Yes! We welcome calls in the space, we just ask that you use headphones and are mindful of your volume and the duration of your calls.

Yes: wifi, outlets, and daytime quiet. On any given weekday half the room is on screens and the other half is painting. Pro tip: try dabbling with watercolors off-screen during your meetings!

Yes, currently we offer clay project storage, and lockers are coming soon!

WIP is your weekday studio. Creative Flow adds evenings, weekends, and a workshop credit, the full second home. Both get access to all our gatherings, and come with two monthly guest passes.

We invite anyone interested in spending more time in a creative environment to join us.
Within our WIP members, we see freelance professionals, graphic designers, illustrators, artists, corporate workers, and more… tired of renting a coffee shop table one oat milk latte at a time. We also see writers and editors who focus better around other working people, and makers of every kind whose kitchen table has been pretending to be a studio for too long. Come join us!
By the way…
We are a socks and indoor slipper space. This helps keep our space clean (we have lots of beautiful rugs) and makes it super cozy (kick your feet up)! We do have shoe covers available for anyone who prefers to keep their shoes on, or socks for $1 if you forget them!
Participants must be 16+ to participate in workshops. No animals are allowed at workshops at this time.
