TTRPG at Drawing Room
Dungeons & Dragons
You don't need a group, a DM, or any idea what you're doing. Join us to learn + play.
The hardest part of playing D&D as an adult isn't the rules. It's finding a group, space and time to meet regularly.
We love Dungeons & Dragons at Drawing Room! We have the table, the dice, the DM, and a room that actually feels like somewhere a story should happen. You bring yourself.
Midtown and Williamsburg. Beginners genuinely welcome.
Two ways to play
One-Shots
A complete adventure in a single evening. Pre-made characters ready to go, a DM who'll teach you as you play, and a story that starts and finishes in three hours. Come alone, come with a friend, come having never touched a d20.
Perfect if you've been curious for years and never had a way in.
The Club
An ongoing campaign with the same table, same people, every week. Your character grows, the story builds, and by month three these people are texting you about things that aren't D&D.
We handle the scheduling, the DM, and the snacks. You handle showing up.
Never played?
Most people at our tables hadn't, a year ago.
You don't need to read anything, buy anything, or understand anything before you arrive. There's no test. The DM will walk you through it in the first few minutes, you'll roll a die, someone will describe a door, and you'll figure out the rest as you go.
If your only exposure is Stranger Things or one episode of Critical Role, you're exactly who this is for. Join us!
What's included
A DM who runs the game and teaches as they go
Dice, character sheets, minis, maps, all of it
Coffee, tea, and something to snack on
A table that isn't someone's kitchen table
Shoes off at the door
The room
You could play in a game store under fluorescent lights, or in a bar where you can't hear the DM over the game on the TV.
Or you could play in a room with vintage sofas, warm lamps, a wall of art, and a door that closes. We're a creative studio the rest of the week, which means the space was built for people to sit in for hours making things up. We believe the setting matters!

Not remotely. Plenty of people come for the few hours of collective storytelling time with other humans with their phones face down.
By the way…
We are a socks and indoor slipper space. This helps keep our space clean (we have lots of beautiful rugs) and makes it super cozy (kick your feet up)! We do have shoe covers available for anyone who prefers to keep their shoes on, or socks for $1 if you forget them!
Please note our workshops have a stricter age and pup restrictions than Open Hours. Participants must be 16+ to participate in workshops. No animals are permitted during workshops at this time.
