Adriana Gramly
Adriana Gramly (she/her) is a Bolivian-American designer raised in Kansas--now based in Brooklyn, NY. She has BFA double major in Film/Animation/Video and Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design (2019) and was The Textile Arts Center's Artist in Residence in 2021-2022.
Her work is inspired by childhood play, folklore, and the underdogs of the world. She strives to make work that is not only fun to engage with, but fun to make. For her, that means every project has a little inspiración from Bolivia. From manipulating physical media to choreographing dynamic movement on the screen, she aims to bring ideas to life through collaboration and amor.
You can find her work here, and her instagram here.
You can find Adriana teaching an upcoming Warp & Weft, Fuzz to Felt, Love at First Knit, Shaped by Light, our Drawing Intensive… or hanging out at Drawing Room Open Hours!

“I see teaching and group learning as an opportunity to witness each other’s unique way of processing a shared world. That’s ultimately the practice–to notice, to care, and to be inspired. The art made along the way are only the droppings of a much larger process of play and appreciation.
In my workshops, you’ll learn that nothing is precious–it’s just art after all! I believe in listening to the material itself, breathing, stretching, getting excited by your own capabilities, and letting go of expectations. Trying something for the first time allows for all sorts of surprises.”
