Drawing as Seeing

at Drawing Room

A playful, social, and beginner-friendly drawing fundamentals workshop. Embrace multimedia experimentation.

Why For the Love of Drawing at Drawing Room?

  • Gift yourself a new perspective on drawing

Ever tried drawing with your eyes closed? Or without looking at the paper (blind drawing)? There are so many ways to draw that aren’t about accuracy (though we get to that too). Try changing your relationship to drawing, with new techniques, and free up opportunities to incorporate art back into your daily life!

Experiment with multiple professional-grade drawing materials (pencils, ink, color) with guidance from a practicing artist.

While not required, we recommend bringing your favorite sketchbook for practicing!

  • Professional instruction & supplies

Professional, beginner-friendly instruction provided by our wonderful instructor, Meiying Thai. Demos and guidance provided throughout.

Quality supplies are very important for a great experience. That’s why we partner with Caran d’Ache, a Swiss company known for their extremely high-quality and luxurious mediums. The mediums ensure a satisfying creation process and long-lasting results! If you love them, we share a discount code exclusive for the attendees of this workshop so you can continue to create with them. Trust us, you may never be able to look back!

  • Emphasis on connection

For the Love of Drawing is more than just a workshop. At Drawing Room we’re all about connection through creativity. These are great to come to solo or with friends; we all gather around shared tables to chat and have a great time.
